Monday, at the end of the guided visit, at 13:08 local time you are invited to enter the church of San Petronio, in Piazza Maggiore, to look at the sun rays mapping the hour and the season on the impressive sundial (Gian Domenico Cassini 1655) on the floor.
Santa Lucia - site of the workshop, is the Aula Magna of the Bologna University, the oldest University in Europe, founded in 1088.
Palazzo d'Accursio - (XIII-XIV century) has been the seat of the City Council since 1200. The statue of the Bolognese Pope Gregory VII, who reformed the calendar, and a terracotta "Madonna and Child" by Nicolo dell'Arca, can be seen on the facade. Immense staircase, attributed to Bramante, will bring you to the 1st floor to "Sala d'Ercole" where you could visit the exhibition of woven from Guatemala and Andes "Indigena - Percorsi di solidarieta' per il Guatemala". At the 2nd floor you will arrive at the "Sala Farnese" for the welcome cocktail. In this room, Charles V received in the 1530 by the pope Clemente VII the Iron Crown of Charlemagne. The visit to the Museo Morandi, devoted to the work of the Bologna painter Giorgio Morandi(1890-1964), will start from "Sala Farnese".
Palazzo Re Enzo - site of the workshop dinner, was built in 1244. It is named after King Enzo, the son of Frederick II, captured during the battle of Fossalta (1249) and confined here for 20 years.
Museo Archeologico - is located in the ancient "Ospedale della Morte" (Death Hospital). It dates back to the XV century and was inaugurated in 1881. This museum has impressive collections of Egyptian and Roman artefacts and one of the best Etruscan displays.
