1. The Meeting is co-sponsorized by:

2. The 1998 Meeting of the Electrochemical Division of the Italian Chemical Society will be held in Bologna to celebrate the Luigi Galvani bicentenary.
The electrochemical community is cordially invited to attend this important event. Contributions are welcome in all areas of electrochemistry.
The Meeting includes invited lectures, contributed papers and poster sessions.
The official language of the Meeting will be English.
A book of Abstracts will be distributed at the Meeting.

3. The venue of the GEI-98 Luigi Galvani Anniversary Meeting will be the Academy of Sciences of Bologna where the manuscripts of Galvani’s experiments are housed and where prestigious conference halls are available. The Academy is in the centre of the city within the University district.
Bologna is known for its University, the first in Europe, dating back to 1088, and for the charm of the red-brick medieval buildings with their arcades (portici) which frame the streets of the city centre.
In addition Bologna is a convenient hub-link to such pleasant cities in Italy as Venice, Florence, Rome and Milan.
A maximum of 200 participants can be accomodated in the conference halls of the Academy of Sciences. Those who wish to attend should complete the attached pre-registration form and return it as soon as possible, but not later than February 15, 1998, to the Registration Office.
