Two of them are the determination of the mass hierarchy and the measurement of a possible CP violation in the leptonic sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">In order to have a solid measure of the CP violation, it is necessary to have an excellent knowledge of the electronic neutrinos cross section. This quantity is currently affected by the largest systematic error among those that are involved in the search for the CP violation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">ENUBET is a project funded by the European community (ERC Consolidator Grant 2015) which is willing to provide physicists with innovative technology for the production of an intense and well-controlled source of electronic neutrinos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-37618\" src=\"\/gruppo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2020\/05\/ENUBET_1-1-1024x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"\/gruppo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2020\/05\/ENUBET_1-1-1024x236.png 1024w, \/gruppo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2020\/05\/ENUBET_1-1-300x69.png 300w, \/gruppo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2020\/05\/ENUBET_1-1-768x177.png 768w, \/gruppo2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2020\/05\/ENUBET_1-1.png 1110w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The new approach proposed by ENUBET is based on monitoring positrons coming from the three-body decay of the meson K<sup>+<\/sup>&nbsp;\u2192 e<sup>+<\/sup>\u03bd<sub>e<\/sub>\u03c0<sup>0<\/sup> by instrumenting a conventional beam line with shashlik calorimeters readout with silicon photomultipliers.
