Tosi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IBIS represents a first step towards the implemetation of a <strong>fast<\/strong> and <strong>high- resolution <\/strong>imaging device covering  a <strong>wide range<\/strong> <strong>of wavelengths<\/strong>. To this end, two components are needed: a sensor and a proper optics. The technology selected for the sensor consists in <em>Backside<\/em> <em>Illuminated Silicon Photomultiplier<\/em>s, shown in the picture<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"\/gruppo5\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2022\/02\/Screenshot-2022-02-14-at-14.51.57.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"403\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this architecture, both the electronics and the high-field regions are located on the same side of the sensor, leaving the entrance window of the radiation free from structures. This allows to reach high Fill Factors, as well as to implement specific window working to extend the sensitivity of the device beyond the usual wavelengh ranges of SiPM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proper optics depends on the specific application.
