It is a system composed by modules of which the mechanical design service has designed the mechanical support that contain the wide scintillator bars read out by SiPM<\/strong><\/span> (S<\/strong><\/span>ilicon P<\/strong><\/span>hoto M<\/strong><\/span>ultipliers) glued to WLS <\/strong><\/span>(W<\/strong><\/span>ave-L<\/strong><\/span>ength S<\/strong><\/span>hifting). The mechanical design service also studied their mechanical behaviour under stress through analyses FEM<\/strong><\/span> (F<\/strong><\/span>inite E<\/span><\/strong>lement M<\/strong><\/span>ethod).<\/span><\/p>\n

This system called top CRT <\/strong>(<\/span>C<\/strong><\/span>osmic R<\/span><\/strong>ay T<\/span><\/strong>rigger) positioned, as a roof on the ICARUS-T600 detector will allow to identifying and eliminating the signals induced by the passage of muons.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
