Magnetic Monopoles
Intermediate Magnetic Monopoles (IMMs) may have been produced in later phase transitions in the Early Universe, IMMs with masses 105-1012 GeV may be accelerated to relativistic velocities in the galacticmagnetic field and in several astrophysical sites It has been speculated that very energetic IMMs may be searched for in the down going cosmic rays with detectors located at high altitude laboratories or on board of stratospheric balloon and satellites.
