The Seventh Topical Seminar on "The legacy of LEP and SLC" will take place in the Aula Magna of the University of Siena, Italy, from 8 to 11 October 2001 .
GENERAL INFORMATION
PROGRAMME
The Seminar is the seventh in a series devoted to experimental and theoretical
results in high-energy particle physics and astrophysics. The previous ones
were held in 1985 [Few and many quarks systems], 1987 [Heavy Flavours], 1991
[Heavy Flavours], 1992 [The Standard Model and just beyond], 1997 [The
iresistible rise of the Standard Model] and 1999 [Neutrino and Astroparticle
physics]. The scope of the 2001 Seminar is to present a series of reviews of
the results obtained at LEP and SLC in more than ten years of activity, and
to discuss what comes next in terms of testing the Standard Model, with
emphasis on the experimentation at e+e- colliders.
The Seminar will consist of review talks summarizing the progress and
perspectives in the major sectors, and shorter talks discussing specific
issues.
MAIN TOPICS
Electroweak physics at the Z0 and at LEP2.
Tests of QCD.
Heavy flavours and CP violation.
Higgs searches.
Searches for new particles and new phenomena.
Advances in theory.
