DARKSIDE

The experiment DarkSide is located at the LNGS (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso) and aims at the direct detection of Dark Matter by means of the identification of typical  particles WIMP (Weakly Interacting Massive Particle) used as detector a double phase TPC  filled with Liquid Argon used  with a dual purpose of a target and detector.

The mechanical design service was involved in the design of some mechanical components used both for the two prototypes and for the final detector.
