The Computing and Network Service

The Computing and Network Service has the task of dealing with problems relating to the structure of the network and computing for the Section’s IT services and for support to the experiments .

The activity is aimed at topics of interest to the INFN, and it also provides some services for the Physics Department of the University, in collaboration with it.

The main activities are:

• management of central (email, web, etc.) and scientific computing services for the Division
  
• management of both local networks (wired and wireless) and towards the Garr
• support for Section services, groups and expertiments
• participation in the working groups of the INFN Computing and Networks Commission
