OpenVPN Connetc for MacOS

Download the OpenVpn client directly from the official OpenVpn website.

Start the installation

Double click on the openvpn-connect-vxxxx-macos.dmg file just downloaded, a window will open and to start the installation double click on the OpenVpn icon paying attention to select the correct version that varies depending on the hardware present on your MacOS.

Download and import the configuration

Download the OpenVPN configuration file.
To import the configuration double click on the INFN_BO.ovpn file, or alternatively drag INFN_BO.ovpn into the application. You will be asked to enter your VPN access credentials.

Connect to the VPN

By clicking on the newly installed profile, INFN_BO, enter the credentials of your NAZIONALE/AAI account with the following syntax:

Username: username@bo.infn.it

Password: *******************

After entering the credentials a window will appear that requests a certificate, ignore and select continue. A green button shows the correct status of the connection.

To connect to hosts inside the INFN network (or resolve the name to an IP address) you need to add the domain to the host name.

Ex: ssh user@bastion.bo.infn.it
