Use of wireless network

Check that the wireless signal of the INFN network in Bologna is present in the classrooms / rooms where the meeting, conference or convention is planned.

If the wireless signal is present, the participants in the meeting, conference or
convention will be able to access it in the following ways:

• INFN employees and associates will be able to use the INFN-dot1x wireless network.
• Users of organizations joining the EDUROAM federation will be able to use the EDUROAM wireless network.
  The INFN-dot1x and EDUROAM networks must have been previously configured at the home office.
• For those who do not belong to the two previous categories, to obtain access to the Wireless Network, the organizer of the meeting, conference or convention must fill out a generic request form specifying the number of accounts needed and the duration of the meeting, conference or convention. (from date – to date).
  The computing and network service will provide the organizer with the required number of accounts by delivering, in a sealed envelope, the personal credentials to be assigned to the participants (see an example here).
  The credentials will be valid to access the wireless INFN-Web.
  Whoever organizes the meeting, conference or convention will have the task of:
  • register the people to whom credentials will be assigned by filling out a form that must contain the user’s data and signature (Facsimile form).
    
  • The form completed in all its parts must be delivered, at the end of the meeting, conference or convention, to the Management Service; provide a copy of the Entity’s IT specification, so that it can be accepted (ITA, ENG specification);
  • provide the necessary information relating to the processing of personal data (information).
