Some Realizations of the Bologna Electronics Center – 2022
Motherboard for SiPM matrixes for DUNE
- PCB 10 Layers with controlled impedance
- Components selected for operation in liquid nitrogen
- It can accommodate a 256 SiPM matrix
- Reading of SiPMs with 8 ALCOR chips bonded on the Bottom of the PCB
- Digital interface, to FPGA with high speed differential lines, via FMC 400 pin connector
Revision of the layout and production of the electronic card for the sensors of the GBO detector for LUXE
HV_SWITCH BOX per Atlas
The box allows you to switch a 1KV voltage on 4 outputs, through digital signals coming from the DB9 connector, or manually through 4 switches located on the rear panel.
The box was designed to interface with the Keithley 2400 Series Source Meters
input:
- 1 x 1KV HV channel
- 1 DB9 connector to digitally drive the outputs
output:
- 4 x 1KV HV channels
Testing a new batch of POLAR_FPGA boards for EEE
Low consumption board for the acquisition of pulse signals, for measuring times and pulse widths, coincidences and trigger generation
- FPGA Cyclone V Intel (ex Altera)
- 32 LVDS inputs
- Interfaceable with GPS module and Raspberry PI
- Connector for micro-SD memory and for two USB port modules
- Power supply from 9 to 14V
Testing a new batch of POLAR_FPGA boards for NIM – TTL – LVDS signal conversion EEE
Panel Drawing for Atlas LUCROD boards, made with Autodesk Inventor
2 PCB 4 Layers for two analog circuits optimized for signal acquisition coming from the scintillation detector of the FAMU experiment
Each card features minimal distortion and gain uniformity across the sample interval. There is also a control on the supply voltage which is interrupted for values greater than 5V.
Card with differential input:
- Operational amplifier with high linearity in the ADL5565 band of interest;
Card with single input:
- ADA4930 high linearity operational amplifier in the band of interest;
Both cards have a differential output and provide signals to an ADC for subsequent conversion to digital.
