SiPM Carrier for SiPM matrix testing for EIC

  • Project consisting of 5 boards of equal size, capable of mounting different SiPM matrices to be tested in the experimental area to verify their characteristics and resistance to radiation.
    • PCB for sixteen SiPM MICROFJ-30020-TSV-TR1 and MICROFJ-30035-TSV-TR1 in 8×4 matrix (shown)
    • PCB for sixteen SiPM AFBR-S4N33C013-DS102 in 8×4 matrix
    • PCB for eight SiPM S13360-3050VS and eight S13360-3025VS in 8×4 matrix
    • PCB for eight SiPM S14160-3050HS and eight S14160-3015PS 8×4 matrix
    • PCB for 3 FBK modules with different eight SiPMs each for a total of 24 sensors in 6×4 matrix
  • Impedance controlled 8-layer boards, high Tg PCB, temperature sensor with mounting option LM73, or TMP100, or NTC

Test of the LV_Cutoff board for the Atlas Pixel system

  • 4 identical sections that allow the passage of the power supply voltage between PS and Chip
  • Each section allows you to interrupt the power supply to the Chip by about 1.8V 10A, if an Interlock signal is activated.
  • Conditions:
    1) the Interlock signal is deactivated
    2) the PS supplies a voltage below 80mV.

  • Critical issues:
    • Small PCBs/ high voltages : discharges risk
    • Outgassing
    • Thermal resistance (made with Kapton-Polyamide)
    • Redundancy (doubling capacitors)
