Some Realizations of the Bologna Electronics Center – 2024

Minicrate board for CMS

  • Generation of test pattern 32 ch LVDS, slow control I2C
  • PCB 240x34mm 6-layer controlled impedance

Power I2C adapter

  • For power distribution and I2C bus to Minicrate test boards
  • PCB 45x59mm 2-layer, made with LPKF in the Electronics Lab

Multiplexe Rele

  • Relay Multiplex controlled with an Arduino Mega board, for the I-V characterization of sensors
  • PCB 110x120mm 6 layer

Sample Hoder

  • For housing sensors undergoing testing

Contact PogoPin

  • For the pin contact testing system
  • PCB 98x70mm 6 layer

R-TESTER

  • Tester designed for the rapid, systematic, and simultaneous verification (optical and acoustic) of the exact value of termination resistors on ‘strip’ and ‘thread’ configurations on the new BIL520 and BIL680 panels of muon detectors.

Setting up new laboratories with PNRR founding

  • Setup of new Base Module Integration Laboratories (Bilbo) and Data Acquisition Simulation String (BB Lab) with PNRR funding.

Prototype board for Drift Chamber

  • Adapter board for KLOE preamplifiers used as signal preamplifiers in a prototype Drift Chamber.

PicoTDC and  LIROC board

  • The two boards were used in a test beam at CERN (April 2024) for reading SiPMs and LGADs

Calorimeter tubes and front-end PCBs

  • Adapter board for KLOE preamplifiers installed as signal preamplifiers in a prototype Drift Chamber.

Bridge-board for patch panel

  • Adapter board for patch panel
