ATLAS

ATLAS ( A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) is one of the major experiments at the Large Handron Collider (LHC) at CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) of Ginevra.

It allows you to study the predictions made by the Standard Model through particle collision: a theory that encompasses our current knowledge of elementary particles and how they interact with each other.

The mechanical design service deals with developing the mechanical parts of the equipment necessary to test the new detector chambers RPC (Resistive Plate Chamber) used as a muon triggers.
