KM3NeT

The KM3NeT experiment is an underwater telescope to observe very high energy cosmic neutrinos. Our institute participates in the international collaboration through various locations.

Our service was responsible for designing the Rotator: it is a support and movement system useful during the assembly phase of the LOM (Launcher of Optical Modules) modules. The function of the Rotator, as can be deduced from the term, is to rotate in a controlled manner the module on which the strings are housed so as to allow the laying operations on the seabed.
