 INFORMATION FOR GUESTS IN BOLOGNA DIVISION

Dear guest, we wish to provide some information and report some behaviors to follow during your visit to our Section, both in normal and emergency situations.

The Section has a Prevention and Protection Service (SPP) that checks and guarantees the compliance of our premises, equipment and procedures dictated by the Regulations concerning Occupational Safety and Radiation Protection. SPP Manager: Ing. Carlo Crescentini (int. Tel. 95266). SPP employee: Maria Gangi (tel. Int. 95069).

The person in charge of the invitation, or who accompanies it during his stay in the Section, is his / her contact person: for any doubt, in particular on the risks of situations or materials, please contact the contact person in order of priority;

to the staff of the SPP;

al personale del SPP;

to the Management Service (tel. int. 95209).

The introduction into the premises of the Section of substances or preparations classified as dangerous and the use in them of equipment without CE marking are allowed only if previously authorized by the Management at the request of the contact person.

Always abide by the prohibitions and obligations, and in any case pay attention to what is indicated by the signs and the acoustic warning.

Access the following rooms only if accompanied by our authorized personnel: Workshop and laboratories on the first basement of the Berti Pichat headquarters (possible presence of machine tools in unattended operation, live electronic equipment or dangerous substances); Calculation room of TIER1 (of INFN-CNAF) on the second basement of the Berti Pichat headquarters (presence of automatic gas fire suppression system).

It should be remembered that in no area of work is it allowed to carry out activities on which we have not been trained or informed about the relative risks.

To recall some notions relating to the risks present in workplaces of the Section type, you can consult the following web page:

https://www.unibo.it/en/services-and-opportunities/health-and-assistance/health-and-safety/@@not_translated_yet?tg=bc1025f567424a2eaf92e35e47760034&orig_lang=it

However, consultation cannot be understood as training on these risks.

For hygiene reasons, it is not allowed to prepare food in the Section premises.

For the internal parking of vehicles, use only the dedicated areas and agree with the contact person to have the parking authorization (unauthorized vehicles can be removed by the caretakers of the offices).

An Emergency Plan is in force at each location and an Emergency Team is set up to deal with fires, provide first aid to the injured and coordinate the clearing of buildings.

During emergencies, team members wear a red-orange jacket.

If you do not intend to stay with our staff during the visit, ask the contact person to indicate the simplest escape route and the nearest alarm button.

There is a single type of acoustic warning (siren) which indicates the obligation to clear the building: when the siren is activated, join the contact person and comply with the provisions of the team members;

in the absence of these, calmly and without running, exit the building via the escape route;

to reach the ground floor and the external doors never use the elevators;

once reached the outside, look for the contact person or members of the team to confirm that you are no longer inside and wait for the team to return.

If you notice an emergency (e.g. a start of fire, an injured person, or if we accuse ourselves of an illness): alert our staff nearby or the caretakers: Berti Pichat concierge: tel. int. 95162;

Irnerio concierge: tel. int. 91004;

from external telephone, press 05120 to the previous numbers

f this is not possible, activate the siren by pressing the alarm buttons: the team will rush to the activation point;

in the event that external help must be called, from the internal telephones it is sufficient to dial the national emergency numbers, without prefixes for connection to the public telephone network Carabineer: 112; Fire Brigade: 115; First Aid: 118).

It is preferable that the actions to resolve emergencies are implemented by the team. Anyhow:

never use water to extinguish a fire on electrical equipment that may be live (including e.g. office machines);

noticing an injured person lying on the ground, do not move it if not indispensable to avoid serious looming dangers;

called for help, to make sure that someone remains close to an injured person until they arrive.
